Today, I am reminded that the Lord gives all He has for the ONE. For the ONE to come to know Him, encounter Him, and experience His love. And so do YOU. You give all for the ONE. Your partnership with Choices Women’s Clinic demonstrates that every single day. Let me give you a glimpse of what happened in this place in just one day:
She was 45 and in a place she never thought she would be as a Christian. Attending church, reading her Bible, and in an unhappy marriage, she had an affair with another married man. She knew abortion was wrong but was determined when she walked through our doors that today she would have an abortion. When her advocate talked with her, she spoke to her as a sister in Christ about her faith and what the Lord desires for her marriage. When the nurse said, “Your test is negative,” she fell from her chair onto her knees, weeping and asking for forgiveness. She left CHOICES knowing that this holy moment would be the beginning of restoration for her marriage and turning her back on a sinful relationship.
She was 17 and in a place she never wanted to be in high school. She was resolute in her decision to abort. As we often hear, she was afraid to tell her parents. Since she was only 7 weeks pregnant, she thought an abortion would be easy. When the ultrasound probe touched her belly, a 23-week baby was alive and well. In her weeping, her nurse spoke life and hope. The advocate encouraged her to start the conversation with her parents. She found the courage to do just that and chose life with the support of her family.”
She was a single mom with two little ones and knew there was no way she could afford to have another baby. When the ultrasound revealed twins, she wept but left that day seeming just as determined to have an abortion. In the following days and weeks, she did not answer our calls. Several months later, she walked in, looking for help with twins who were in the backseat of her car.
Don’t ever discount the One. One day, one person, one story that the King of the universe continues to write. My friend, you provide the opportunity for everyone who walks through our doors to be empowered to choose LIFE and receive LIFE eternally. Your hands of help allow Him to reach out for the ONE.
